The Merkez Derleme Collection consists of original photographs brought together by IRCICA through donations and acquisitions. With its rich visual material spanning different geographies and historical periods, the collection constitutes an important resource for historical and cultural research. The collection includes images of cities and regions such as İstanbul, Thessaloniki, Palestine, Damascus, Aleppo, and Beirut. It also features postcards documenting the uniforms of Ottoman military and civil officials, which form a notable part of the collection. In addition, the collection contains photographs of the 10th anniversary celebrations of the Republic, warships and sailors, as well as images related to Belgium, France, and Macedonia, together with photographs reflecting Republican-era Ankara. Visual documents concerning the Muslim community in Japan further demonstrate the international scope of the collection.
