Mihin Lugal (1925-2022), a leading figure of librarianship in Türkiye, donated her library and archive collection to IRCICA, inclusive of the collection of her father Mehmet Necati Lugal (1881-1964), a scholar of Arabic and Persian languages and literatures. The collection includes letters received by Prof. Mehmet Necati Lugal from eminent Orientalists such as Oskar Rescher, Hellmut Ritter, Albert Dietrich, Vladimir Minorsky, Walther Björkman, Bertold Spuler and Gotthard Jäschke and correspondence with the scholars Halil İnalcık, Afet İnan, Muhammed Tayyip Okiç, Lütfi Doğan and Tahsin Yazıcı, as well as personal papers and photographs belonging to the Lugal family.
