The Sharia Court Registers that were published by IRCICA in 50 volumes during 2013-2024 were prepared for publication by Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Rabayia. These 50 registers containing the records of legal cases dating from 1545 to 1701 are original historical sources. The cases are related to issues concerning waqfs, timar and zeamet fiefs, education, taxes, military matters, relations between Muslims and non-Muslims, appointments, repairs and restorations, constructions, families, society, economy, among others. The records were kept by the qadi (judges) and their deputies. In these volumes, the information on the names of the judges, the subjects, dates and outlines of the events is given in the form of tables. Each volume has indices of persons, places, institutions and terms.
