It is estimated to have been commissioned by King Varpalavas between 727 and 742 BC. It measures 4.20 x 4.20 meters and was carved using a relief technique on a rock base.
It is a surviving work from the Tuvana Kingdom. The Tuvana Kingdom was a kingdom with its capital in Ereğli.
