SMALL-SCALE COLLECTIONS

The Small-Scale Collections section brings together photographs and documents that reached IRCICA as modest donations often a single image or only a handful of items contributed by the descendants of notable figures, as well as by researchers and photographers who served at the Centre. Spanning the late Ottoman and early Republican periods, the most notable collections include those of İbrahim Feridun Baysan, grandson of İbrahim Bekir Bey, chief pharmacist of Yıldız Palace; Ömer Nami Osmanoğlu of the Ottoman dynasty; Şefik Okday, grandson of Grand Vizier Tevfik Paşa; Selim Çınay, grandson of Education Minister Münif Paşa; the art historian Nurhan Atasoy; the retired librarian Nimet Bayraktar; and the photographer Hüdai Özgüder, who documented the Centre’s activities for many years.
